

Tom Davis lives on the scenic Door Peninsula of northeastern Wisconsin, where he works as a writer, editior, and conservationist.
He has contributed many articles on art and artists to such magazines as "Sporting Classics," "Shooting Sportsman," and "Wildlife Art News," and he is the author of a previous book, "The Art of Bob Kuhn."
Davis is also the author (in collaboration with photographer Dale Spartas) of Just Goldens, The Little Book of Flyfishing; he was a contributing author to The Encyclopedia Of North American Sporting Dogs; other books include Why Dogs Do That: A Collection Of Curious Canine Behaviors and The Tattered Autumn Sky, a collection of stories and essays to be published in the spring of 2004.
An avid fly fisherman and wingshooter, Davis keeps company with his wife Joan, stepdaughter Sophia, and English setters Ernie and Butch.
